The Essential Selection
Pete Tong's Essential Selection is a dance music institution, broadcasting on BBC Radio 1 since 1991 with its Friday night slot marking the start of the weekend.
The Essential Selection is available as a two-hour international version. Every week Pete Tong gives his expert round up of the very latest tracks to hit the dance floor. Sometimes the show is live from Ibiza or other club locations.
The show comes complete with Pete Tong's expert presentation and requires no additional production. Each show is provided with full programme notes, and suitable breaks are marked for advertisements/ station imaging.
